Your dryer has a second filter hiding at the bottom
How to clean a condenser dryer filter
Condenser and heat pump dryers have a second filter or heat exchanger behind a flap at the bottom front. Rinse it under the tap every few weeks.
Don't use chemicals or hard brushes on the fins; plain water only.
Never mix cleaning products. Bleach plus ammonia, vinegar or other acids releases toxic gases. Use one product at a time, rinse between them, ventilate, and unplug appliances before you clean them.
Step by step
- Unplug and let the dryer cool
- Open the flap at the bottom front
- Release the clips and pull out the condenser or filter unit
- Rinse under running water, never with brushes on the fins
- Let it drip dry and refit
