Streak-free mirrors need a dry finish
How to clean a mirror without streaks
Wipe with a mix of one part white vinegar to three parts water, then buff dry immediately with a clean microfibre cloth.
Don't spray liquid into the mirror edges or frame. Don't mix vinegar with bleach-based glass cleaners.
Never mix cleaning products. Bleach plus ammonia, vinegar or other acids releases toxic gases. Use one product at a time, rinse between them, ventilate, and unplug appliances before you clean them.
Step by step
- Dust the mirror first
- Spray vinegar-water on the cloth, not the mirror (keeps frames and seals dry)
- Wipe in an S pattern
- Buff dry with a second dry microfibre cloth
